I have been reflecting on some of my favourite vacations recently, and I couldn’t do that without remembering the many memories throughout my childhood that revolved around a cruise. My first ever vacation at 2 years old was in fact a cruise. Ever since then, my family has loved going on a Caribbean cruise almost every single year. It’s the perfect chill vacation, where you go to the beach or pool, eat, dance, sleep, and repeat it all again tomorrow. Since “stealing” my mom’s digital camera, I started noticing the little things on these vacations and on these beautiful islands, especially all the colourful houses and boats.
In my humble opinion, some of the most beautiful islands I have visited throughout my life would have to be Aruba, Grand Cayman (Cayman Islands), Saint Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), Antigua and Barbuda, and Saint Martin (Sint Maarten).
These photographs showcase the beauty and nostalgia of the Caribbean, even if, in a technical sense, they may not be the best. Every single photograph has a memory attached to it, so to me, they are not just pretty pictures, but memories captured in a single frame.
